Bad news for those who were already waiting to find out what would happen after the latest episodes of « A Love Other Than Yours » and « Love on the Menu ». KBS has just announced that both dramas will take a break from airing next weekend, September 26 and 27, 2026, due to coverage of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. This hiatus comes at a particularly frustrating point in both storylines.
On September 21, KBS confirmed that «A Love Other Than Yours» and «Love on the Menu» will not air any new episodes next weekend. The network will adjust its schedule to cover the 2026 Asian Games. The episodes originally scheduled for Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, have therefore been canceled.
For viewers of both dramas, the timing is likely to be all the more frustrating since their final episodes, which aired on September 20, left several romantic and family storylines unresolved.
«A Love Other Than Yours» ends after the first snowfall, which changes a lot of things
Spoiler alert! In Episode 4 of «A Love Other Than Yours», Namgoong Ho (Seo Kang-jun) and Lee Mi-do (Ahn Eun-jin) are continuing their wedding preparations after getting back together.
The couple is trying to rekindle the spark they had in the early days of their relationship, but this new phase doesn't seem to be generating the enthusiasm one might expect from two people about to get married.
Above all, other people are starting to take up more space in their lives. Namgoong Ho, in particular, finds himself spending more time with his colleague Park Soo-ah (Jo Aram), with whom he clearly shares a history that is still largely unknown. The fact that he calls her «Deok-soon» confirms that their relationship dates back to well before what viewers have seen so far.
Meanwhile, Mi-do shares a particularly symbolic moment with Han Tae-seung (Lee Joo-ahn): the first snowfall of the year. This moment means a lot to Mi-do and Namgoong Ho, as it is tied to their own story. However, after a 10-year relationship, Mi-do finds herself with another man this time when the first snowflakes fall.
The episode also features a particularly emotional scene involving Namgoong Ho after he donates a kidney to his mother. Mi-do, upset to see him return to work after his surgery, eventually shares an emotional embrace with him.
Reactions posted after Episode 4 focused in particular on the contrast created by the first snowfall: some viewers noted that Mi-do immediately thinks of Namgoong Ho, even though he is with Soo-ah at that moment. These reactions are those of internet users and obviously do not represent the views of the entire audience.

«Love on the Menu» takes a hiatus after Ha Seok-jin returns to Hani's family
The situation isn't much calmer over in «Love on the Menu», whose 18th episode also aired on September 20.
Recent events bring Kim Moo-jin (Ha Seok-jin) back into the center of Han Gyu-rim’s (Hani) family life, eight years after their painful separation. Moo-jin returns to Gyu-rim’s family and continues to express his feelings despite the less-than-warm welcome he receives.
In particular, he has to deal with Gyu-rim's father, Han Seok-joong (Ryu Seung-soo), as well as his sister Han Gyu-young (Park You-na), who don't seem willing to make things easy for him.
Gyu-rim is going through a tough time herself. Footage from Episode 18 showed her rushing out of the store in tears before letting out all the frustration she had been holding in.
Moo-jin also finds himself listening to the concerns of Han Gyu-min (Kim Min-seo). Another discovery related to a family secret also seems to be making him angry, adding yet another layer of tension to an already complicated situation.
Viewers will now have to wait a while before finding out the consequences of these events. Below is a preview of Episode 19.
Special episodes instead of new episodes
However, KBS will not leave the time slots completely empty. For «A Love Other Than Yours,» special episodes covering episodes 1 through 4 will air on September 23 at 10:20 p.m., September 26 at 11:20 p.m., and September 30 at 11:10 p.m. (KST). Each will last approximately 80 minutes.
«Love on the Menu» will also feature a special program: a recap video produced by YouTuber Gomong, covering episodes 1 through 18, will air on September 27 at 10:00 p.m. (KST).
These reruns will be available only in Korea.
For Episode 5 of «A Love Other Than Yours» and Episode 18 of «Love on the Menu,» we’ll now have to wait until October 3, 2026.
