Seo Kang-joon (서강준), whose real name is Lee Seung-hwan (이승환), is a South Korean actor and singer born on October 12, 1993, in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province. After attending Dong Seoul University, he initially worked as a part-time model before joining Fantagio’s acting training program. He made his debut in the early 2010s and became a member of the group of actors and singers 5urprise.
After a few appearances in To the Beautiful You and Good Doctor, he landed a supporting role in The Suspicious Housekeeper (2013). His career really took off in 2014 thanks to Cunning Single Lady, for which he won the Best New Actor award at the Korea Drama Awards. He went on to star in What Happens to My Family? and Splendid Politics.
In 2016, his popularity soared thanks to his portrayal of the pianist Baek In-ho in Cheese in the Trap. He then became the headliner of’Entourage. He solidifies his status with a particularly important dual role in Are You Human Too? (2018), in which he plays both Nam Shin and his android double, Nam Shin III. Next up are The Third Charm, the thriller Watcher (2019) and romance When the Weather Is Nice (2020).
On the big screen, he has appeared notably in My Love, My Bride (2014), The Beauty Inside (2015) and Happy New Year (2021). After Grid In 2022, he returned to the spotlight in 2025 with Undercover High School, playing the role of Officer Jung Hae-seong.
In 2026, he appears as a virtual boyfriend in Boyfriend on Demand and plays the lead role in Namgung Ho in A Love Other Than Yours. His career is thus characterized by a mix of romances, thrillers, science fiction, and comedies.
