«Winning this competition is the only way to save Familia.» In the new teaser for « Final Table »As revealed today, cooking is no longer just a matter of talent or passion. For the characters in’Ahn Hyo-seop and Hong Hwa-yeon, it could be their last chance to save a restaurant on the verge of closing.
This new culinary drama will bring together Korean chefs from around the world in «The Table: K-Chef 2026,» a competition to determine the best among them. But the new footage and dialogue in the teaser hint at stakes that go far beyond a simple victory and a drama that runs much deeper than just a cooking competition.

Ahn Hyo-seop Joins the Race to Save Familia
Ahn Hyo-seop plays Kang Han, a Korean chef living abroad who decides to enter the competition on behalf of Familia. The restaurant is owned by the family of Choi Song-yi (Hong Hwa-yeon), a young woman who works there as a maître d’. After the death of her father—a once-respected chef whose reputation was ruined by an incident—she finds herself facing the possibility that the restaurant will have to close.

In the trailer, one line sums up the urgency of the situation: winning the competition seems to be the only way to save Familia.
«Winning this competition is the only way to save Familia. I promised to protect it until the very end. »Help me,” asks Hong Hwa-yeon. These words reinforce the impression that the contest represents much more than just a professional opportunity. Kang Han will therefore have to prove himself against some exceptionally talented chefs in a competition where imagination and culinary mastery seem essential.

In particular, the teaser emphasizes the idea that simply preparing a tasty dish isn't enough: creativity and the ability to exceed expectations could make all the difference.

Chang Ryul refuses to lose again
Among Kang Han's competitors is Cha Woo-jin (Chang Ryul), head chef at the prestigious restaurant Exception. Considered a prodigy since childhood, Woo-jin is a perfectionist accustomed to controlling every detail of his work. Yet one defeat continues to haunt him: in a previous competition, he finished second behind a chef whose identity remained unknown.

Upon learning that his former rival is competing on «The Table: K-Chef 2026,» Woo-jin decides to enter the competition to get his revenge. The trailer offers a glimpse of this determination with a particularly firm statement: «I will never lose.»

Other lines refer to past events and a person who was believed to be dead, hinting at secrets that may extend beyond the scope of the contest.
Behind the scenes, the stakes are just as high. The contest was conceived by Seon Jeong-won (Jung Eugene), executive producer at Pyungyeon Media. For Moon Hae-sun (Jang Young-nam), president of Pyungyeon Group, the contest’s success could help restore the group’s image. Her half-sister, Baek Hyun-joo (Cha Ji-yeon), on the other hand, hopes to use the show to strengthen her influence and take her place.
Between Kang Han’s fight for Familia, Woo-jin’s personal quest for revenge, and the ambitions of the executives funding the program, «Final Table» promises a competition in which everyone has something valuable to gain or lose.
The 12-episode drama, directed by Kim Do-hoon, will premiere on October 24, 2026, on JTBC and will be available on Prime Video worldwide.
