Fifties Professionals tells the story of three seemingly ordinary men who all hide explosive pasts. Once at the top of their respective fields, they find themselves exiled to the isolated island of Yeongseon following a mysterious incident. Ten years later, they decide to return to action to uncover the truth about the day that turned their lives upside down, in an investigation that is funny, bitter, and full of action.
Oh Jung-se plays Bong Je-soon, a former elite North Korean agent who has lost his memory. Before this incident, he was known as “Bulgae,” a true human weapon renowned for his taekkyeon skills and infiltration abilities. During a mission to recover sensitive documents and illicit funds, he disappears at sea before washing ashore on Yeongseon Island, far from any landmarks.
Shin Ha-kyun plays Jung Ho-myung, a former elite agent with the National Intelligence Service who is now the manager of a Chinese restaurant. After a mission that went awry, he finds himself living undercover on the island, with the goal of uncovering a crucial piece of information linked to his past. But as the years go by, his daily life eventually takes over. Juggling family responsibilities and the need to make a living, he gradually drifts away from his original goal, though he never completely abandons it.
Secondary characters
Kim Shin-rok plays Kang Young-ae, a prosecutor driven by a deep sense of justice. A former police officer who became a prosecutor, she refuses to accept that certain criminals can evade accountability because of their power or connections.
The drama also introduces Han Kyung-wook, played by Kim Sang-kyung in a special appearance. A former elite secret service agent, he gradually sank into illegal activities linked to North Korea before building up a vast criminal network.
Alongside him, Kwon Yul plays Chairman Do, an elegant and charismatic businessman in appearance, but in reality acting under Han Kyung-wook's orders. Behind his perfect image lies a character constantly worried about being abandoned by those who manipulate him.

On air. Episode 3 seen. So far I don't like it very much, it's hard to get into the story. But I'm continuing because it's funny and full of action and I'm curious about what's next.
