«Love Cloud» will follow Kang Woo-joo, played by Song Joong-ki, a former flight instructor who has become an air traffic controller.
Once nicknamed the «Mad Captain» because of his exceptional skills, Kang Woo-joo eventually gave up flying to settle on Jeju Island. Now he works in an air traffic control tower, where his quick judgment and excellent English make him one of the best in his field. But away from work, he leads a much quieter life, spending his free time watching the clouds.
His life is turned upside down when he runs into Ahn Ha-ni, his ex-girlfriend, played by Park Ji-hyun. A determined pilot who is completely focused on her career, Ahn Ha-ni even takes on assignments that others prefer to avoid in order to get a promotion.
But after an unexpected accident, she finds herself the victim of a strange curse: her emotions now directly influence the weather.
The situation becomes even more complicated when her reunion with Kang Woo-joo reawakens feelings she thought she had forgotten.
The actors share their thoughts
Song Joong-ki said he was immediately intrigued by the drama's concept:
«When I first read the script, I found the idea that Ahn Ha-ni’s emotions are connected to the clouds very interesting. I’m happy to be working with Park Ji-hyun again on a new project, and I think we’ll be able to showcase our great chemistry once more.»
For her part, Park Ji-hyun shared her fondness for the script:
«While reading the script, I laughed, cried, and was so immersed in it that I couldn't let go of the tension. I'm really happy to be part of Love Cloud. ». I'm going to grow alongside Ahn Ha-ni and do my best to convey a beautiful emotion to the audience."
