Based on an original work, «A Well-Behaved Killer» is set in the 1970s and 1980s. The drama tells the story of Go Dal-bun, a woman who has always lived according to society’s expectations.
A model wife, devoted mother, and obedient daughter, she has only one goal: to become the perfect housewife. But after her divorce, her life is turned upside down. In order to regain custody of her young daughter, she finds herself forced to look for a job and joins a particularly mysterious company that claims to promote women’s professional empowerment. Very quickly, she discovers that she has an unexpected talent: the ability to make people disappear without a trace.
The project is billed as a «melancholic noir» with a retro setting, blending suspense, social commentary, and strong female characters.
Kim Da-mi will play Go Dal-bun, an ordinary woman forced out of her comfort zone. Lee Chung-ah will play Lee Hwa-ra, known by the code name Miss Lee, while Jo A-ram will play Gye Sook-hee, nicknamed «the fighter.».
Kim Jae-wook’s role has not yet been revealed, but his participation adds another dimension to the project. The actor will thus return to the small screen following «Secret Audit,» which aired this year. Known for his ability to switch between romantic, mysterious, and dark characters, Kim Jae-wook could fit perfectly into the drama’s dark and elegant atmosphere.
The project also boasts a particularly prestigious creative team. The screenplay is by Joo Hwa-mi, known for «The Atypical Family,» while Lee Jung-heum, who directed «Inspector Koo» and «Our Movie,» is at the helm.
Renowned screenwriter and creator Kang Eun-kyung, best known for «Dr. Romantic» and «Gyeongseong Creature,» is also participating in the project as a creator.
