The already complicated love life of Nam Ji-hyun is likely to become even more so in « Make Me Tingle » («Tu me Fais Vibrer» in French). With just a few days to go before its release, the romantic comedy by TVING introduces the supporting characters who will directly influence Gong Yeon-su's romantic choices.
And among them is Yoon Ji-oh (Kang Tae-joo), Dokgo Dal's best friend and business partner (Kim Jae-young), who will also begin to develop feelings for Yeon-su.
«Make Me Tingle» follows Gong Yeon-su, a marketing specialist who believes in love without having really figured out what it means to her. Her life is turned upside down when she meets Dokgo Dal, the CEO of an adult products company, who draws her into a world far removed from the conservative upbringing she received.
Kang Tae-joo Becomes His Own Friend's Love Rival
Kang Tae-joo plays the role of Yoon Ji-oh, vice president of the company he runs with Dokgo Dal. Warm, playful, and particularly sociable, he is described as someone who gets along easily with others.
But his professional encounter with Gong Yeon-su changes everything. Ji-oh gradually begins to develop feelings for her and thus finds himself in a situation he probably hadn't anticipated: competing with his longtime friend Dokgo Dal for the same woman.
A love triangle is thus beginning to take shape around Yeon-su, even as she is still trying to understand her own feelings.
Park So-jin, for her part, will play Jin Se-ra, CEO of SR Planning, the company where Yeon-su works. A former college classmate who is now her boss, she has a much more open-minded view of relationships than the young woman does.
As Yeon-su begins to feel unsettled by her encounter with Dokgo Dal, Se-ra will offer her practical advice based on her own experiences.
His mother and aunt also keep an eye on his romantic choices
Yeon-su's family will offer a different perspective on her view of love.
Jeong In-ji plays Gong Mi-young, her aunt, with whom she has a relationship as close as that of two friends. Having once been pressured into marriage by those around her before eventually getting a divorce, Mi-young fears her niece might follow a similar path. She will therefore try to pass on to her what she has learned from her own experience.
Woo Mi-hwa plays Seo Baek-hee, Yeon-su's mother. Having been widowed twelve years earlier, she raised her eldest daughter on her own while caring for her in-laws. Although she is very close to Yeon-su, she chooses to support her decisions rather than dictate which path she should take.
Enter a new suitor who could jeopardize a long-standing friendship, a mother with much more open-minded views and a family shaped by her own experiences in a relationship—Gong Yeon-su will thus be surrounded by very different perspectives on love just as Dokgo Dal begins to question all of his certainties.
«Make Me Tingle» will premiere on October 15 and will be available on Viki.
