The duo formed by Park Bo-gum and Shin Ye-eun may not end up being released in « Night Traveler » (literal title). Although the two actors had been chosen to play the lead roles in this new romance, they reportedly decided to leave the project after several months of uncertainty surrounding its production.
According to an exclusive report published on September 28 by YTN Star, «Night Traveler» had actually finalized a large portion of its main cast as early as last year. The production team had been trying to secure a broadcaster ever since, but the negotiations reportedly ultimately fell through. This situation is said to have caused a delay in production and prompted both Park Bo-gum and Shin Ye-eun to announce their intention to withdraw from the project.

«Night Traveler» was expected to draw attention, in particular, thanks to Park Bo-gum and Shin Ye-eun's first collaboration in a romance.
The project is written by Yoon Ji-ryun, a screenwriter best known for «Boys Over Flowers» and «Move to Heaven.» Park Bo-gum and Shin Ye-eun had been cast as the two main characters and were set to star together. But before filming could even get underway, the production reportedly ran into a major obstacle.
According to Korean media reports, discussions held since last year to secure a time slot on a network have ultimately failed. As a result, the project is facing production difficulties, and its schedule has been delayed. In light of this, Park Bo-gum and Shin Ye-eun have reportedly both decided to withdraw from the drama.
The project is therefore not necessarily being presented as having been definitively shelved at this stage. However, its production is facing difficulties, and according to reports, it will now have to move forward without the duo originally slated to carry the story.

Even though their meeting in «Night Traveler» may not happen after all, the two actors are continuing their careers separately.
Shin Ye-eun recently played the role of Yook Ha-ri in « Doctor on the Edge », an ENA drama that ended in July. In it, she played a nurse with a warm yet bold personality.
Park Bo-gum, for his part, recently made a public appearance on a special program celebrating the 10th anniversary of « Love in the Moonlight ». He is also set to appear in the second season of the show «Bogum Magical» (« The Village Barber 2«(), expected in November.".
On the film front, the actor also has several projects in the works, including «Canvas of Blood» and «Sword, the Sword of the High-Ranking Official» (working titles).
For «Night Traveler,» the uncertainty is now much greater. Given the difficulties in finding a network and the reported withdrawal of its two lead actors, the drama will have to revise its plans before it can continue production.
