The moment that readers of the web novel know so well is finally beginning to take shape on screen. « The Remarried Empress » (translated as «The Empress's Second Marriage» in French) has just unveiled a new poster and a teaser focused on the four characters who will forge and break imperial alliances: Shin Min-ah, Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk and Lee Se-young. Amid infidelity, divorce, remarriage, and power struggles, the breakup between Navier and Sovieshu is now the focus of the first scenes.
«The Remarried Empress» is an adaptation of the popular web novel of the same name and will follow Navier (Shin Min-ah), empress of the Eastern Empire, renowned for her impeccable performance in her role. Reigning alongside her is her husband Sovieshu (Ju Ji-hoon). But their marriage begins to falter when Rashta (Lee Se-young) enters the emperor's life and gradually catches his attention.
As Sovieshu approaches Rashta, another man appears alongside Navier: Heinrey (Lee Jong-suk), prince of the Western Empire.
Four characters whose relationships are summarized on the new official poster.

Shin Min-ah and Lee Jong-suk on one side, Ju Ji-hoon and Lee Se-young on the other
Seated before the imperial throne, the four main characters are already standing as two couples, but the looks in their eyes tell a more complicated story. Navier is holding Heinrey’s hand, and Heinrey can’t take his eyes off the empress. Across from them, Sovieshu reaches out a hand toward Rashta, who takes it.
However, The emperor's gaze remains fixed on Navier.
The poster summarizes the central conflict around which much of the drama is expected to revolve: Sovieshu turns to Rashta, but her history with Navier doesn’t simply disappear, while Heinrey gradually takes on an increasingly important role in the empress’s life.

The teaser shows exactly how this balance begins to fall apart.
Rashta’s arrival gradually undermines the imperial marriage. Sovieshu falls under her spell, while Heinrey grows closer to Navier—until the emperor makes a radical decision. «I must divorce the empress.»
But Sovieshu isn't going to get exactly the reaction he might have expected.

Navier agrees to the divorce… and immediately asks to remarry
Rather than pleading with the emperor or trying to save their marriage, Navier agreed to his request for a divorce. However, she accompanied this decision with a request that completely turned the situation on its head: she asked that her remarriage to Heinrey also be approved.

The divorce Sovieshu has sought thus becomes the starting point for a new alliance that could alter not only the romantic lives of the four characters, but also the political balance between the empires.

The teaser then establishes the new dynamics: Rashta takes her place beside Sovieshu, while Heinrey now stands alongside Navier. «The Remarried Empress» should therefore not be limited to a traditional love triangle or quadrangle. The characters’ feelings will be directly linked to power, imperial status, and the political consequences of their decisions.

And if Sovieshu is the one to file for divorce first, Navier's response could very well turn this separation into something he hadn't anticipated.
«The Remarried Empress» will be available starting November 4 on Disney+, with 4 episodes on the first day and 2 episodes every Wednesday.
