Biography

Shin Seung-ho (신승호; 申承浩) is a South Korean actor and model born on November 11, 1995, in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. Before entering the entertainment industry, he played soccer for several years but retired from competition in 2016. He then turned to modeling, walked the runway at Seoul Fashion Week, and reached the finals of a contest organized by SBS.

Shin Seung-ho began his acting career in 2018 in a teen web series A-Teen, in which he plays Nam Si-woo. He goes on to star in At Eighteen, Love Alarm and How to Buy a Friend, before transforming his image thanks to D.P.. His particularly intense portrayal of the soldier Hwang Jang-soo earned him a nomination for Best New Actor at the Baeksang Arts Awards.

He reaffirms his ability to play commanding characters in Weak Hero Class 1, then reveals a lighter, more endearing side with Alchemy of Souls. In both parts of this fantasy epic, he plays Crown Prince Go Won, whose character development and sense of humor have won over audiences. He briefly reprises his role as Hwang Jang-soo in D.P. 2 in 2023.

On the big screen, Shin Seung-ho plays his first leading role in Double Patty, before appearing in the comedy Pilot. In 2025, he made his film debut Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy and Only God Knows Everything, while also seeing Jeon Seok-dae again in the second season of Weak Hero. He will also appear on screen in 2027 in «Men of the Harem.».

Thanks to his commanding stage presence, his sense of contrast, and his ease in playing ambiguous roles, Shin Seung-ho has established himself as one of the most distinctive actors of his generation in South Korea.
