Yoo Joon-sang (Yoo Jun-sang), born on November 28, 1969, in Seoul, is a South Korean actor and singer. Active since 1995, he graduated from Dongguk University with a degree in theater and film and has built a career spanning television, film, and musicals.
On television, he is gradually making a name for himself with The Full Sun (2000), Inspector Park Moon Soo (2002), Land (2004) and Young Jae's Golden Days (2005). It experienced a major resurgence in popularity with My Husband Got a Family (2012), before going on to play leading roles in Birth Secret (2013), Heard It Through the Grapevine (2015), Pied Piper (2016), Distorted (2017), Liver or Die (2019) and Graceful Friends (2020).
His international reputation is growing rapidly thanks to The Uncanny Counter (2020), in which he plays Ga Mo-tak. He reprises this role in The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch (2023). In 2022, he also joined Alchemy of Souls in the role of Park Jin, which he continues to play in Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow. In 2025, he played the lead role of Oh Sang-sik in My Lovely Journey. A second season, My Lovely Journey Season 2, has also been announced, while another drama, I'm Back from School, is scheduled for 2027.
In film, Yoo Joon-sang is best known for Wide Awake (2007), Moss (2010), as well as for her numerous collaborations with Hong Sang-soo in Hahaha (2010), The Day He Arrives (2011), In Another Country (2012), Haewon and the Men (2013) and Hotel by the River (2018). He also appears in The Target (2014), Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds (2017) and The Boys (2022).
At the same time, he remains very active in musical theater and also works as a director.
