Nine years have passed
The first season of «Made in Korea» pitted Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin)—a man willing to do anything to gain wealth and power—against Jang Geon-young (Jung Woo-sung), a prosecutor who had sacrificed everything in the hope of stopping him.
This second season will take a significant leap forward in time, as the story picks up nine years after the events of Season 1. Baek Ki-tae is now at the height of his power. But Jang Geon-young hasn’t been idle all these years and is preparing his comeback.

Adding to this conflict is Baek Ki-hyun (Woo Do-hwan), Ki-tae’s brother, who now seems determined to forge his own path to power. Three men with different ambitions, whose choices will gradually lead to a rift that now seems impossible to mend.
See you on September 9 to watch the first two episodes of a season that will be particularly short, as it will consist of only six episodes in total.

Baek Ki-hyun, Nine Years Later
In the first season, Baek Ki-hyun was a soldier deeply committed to his principles, but already torn between his duty and the complex feelings he had toward his brother.
Nine years have passed, and the character has also risen through the ranks. He is now a lieutenant colonel in the Security Command. But this new position doesn't make his decisions any easier.
On one side is his older brother, Baek Ki-tae, whose ambition continues to grow despite the power he now wields. On the other is Jang Geon-young, determined to stop Ki-tae after spending nine years plotting his revenge.
Ki-hyun will therefore have to choose between his family and his own convictions.

Oh Ye-jin Becomes South Korea's First Female Prosecutor
Seo Eun-soo takes on the role of’Oh Ye-jin, the investigator who had helped track down a massive criminal cartel during the first season.
Nine years later, his career took on a new dimension: She became South Korea's first female prosecutor.
Accustomed to forging ahead despite prejudice and disapproving glances, Ye-jin now appears more confident and experienced. Her new, more sophisticated look and determined gaze also reflect how far she has come.
Summoned to Seoul by Joint Investigation Headquarters, she will primarily Reuniting with Jang Geon-young after nine years apart professionally. It remains to be seen under what circumstances the two former allies will be led to collaborate once again.
Ikeda Yuji is ready to take action
Won Ji-an As for her, she finds herself Ikeda Yuji, the adopted daughter of Ikeda (Lily Franky), who had joined Baek Ki-tae with her own ambitions. Her appearance immediately signals a major shift in the character. With longer hair, a striking coat, and a much bolder demeanor, Yuji now seems ready to play a far more significant role in the power struggle.
The new images also reveal a huge tattoo on his back depicting the Ikeda organization.
Now that she has devised her own plan, Yuji should take action. Her decisions could upset the balance between the different factions and make her one of the biggest unknowns of this second season.
Baek So-young looks very different
Finally, Cha Hee returns in the role of Baek So-young, Ki-hyun's older sister and Ki-tae's younger sister. In the first season, So-young worked alongside Ki-tae and displayed an almost unshakable trust in her family. Nine years later, however, her character seems to have changed profoundly.
The new photos show her wearing much more sophisticated outfits and makeup, a far cry from her once-understated appearance. But behind this transformation, her nervous gaze and sharper demeanor suggest that the passing years have taken their toll.
The exact nature of what happened to him and how his relationship with his two brothers has evolved remain a mystery for now.
