Spring Fever tells the story of Yoon Bom, a high school teacher who, after a difficult period in Seoul, decides to leave everything behind and move to the peaceful coastal town of Sinsu. Closed to others and scarred by her past, she begins a new life as a substitute teacher. But her encounter with Seon Jae-kyu, a resident as unpredictable as he is endearing, will shake up her routine and bring back emotions she thought were buried.

At the heart of the story is Yoon Bom (Lee Joo-bin), a high school teacher with a past as bright as it is painful. Once adored for her natural charisma and regularly ranked among the most popular teachers, she saw her career take a turn following an unexpected incident.

Now living in Shinsu Village, Yoon Bom has chosen a quiet, almost distant life. Cold in appearance and not very expressive, she intrigues both her colleagues and the villagers. This enigmatic aura makes her a unique figure at the high school, leaving a mystery as to what drove her to cut herself off emotionally from the world.

Seon Jae-gyu (Ahn Bo-hyun) is anything but a model hero. His imposing stature, his blunt manner, and his reputation as a troublemaker keep an entire village on its toes. Yet behind that rough exterior burns a rare flame: that of a loyal man, ready to love unconditionally. For years, he has made raising his nephew Seon Han-gyeol (played by Cho Jun-young) his daily mission. When Yoon Bom arrives, that resolve begins to crack, little by little.

Cha Seo-won stars in Choi Yi-joon, an elite lawyer with an impeccable image. Former best friend of Seon Jae-gyu (Ahn Bo-hyun), he has now become his rival. Beneath his perfect exterior, however, Yi-joon hides flaws, and Jae-gyu's return to his life brings back a past he thought was buried. His indirect encounter with Yoon Bom (Lee Joo-bin) then draws him into the middle of a delicate love triangle.

Seo Hye-suk (Jin Kyung), a Korean language teacher and the owner of the house where Yoon Bom lives, is a single mother raising twins on her own. Known as the school’s biggest busybody, she never misses an opportunity to get involved in other people’s lives. Opposite her, Jung Jin-hyuk (Bae Jung-nam), a physical education teacher and former local «idol» in Shinsu, continues to see himself as the school’s “charm factor.” A middle-aged bachelor, he devotes most of his time to caring for his ailing mother. An unexpected activity—learning jiu-jitsu with their colleagues—gradually brings Hye-suk and Jin-hyuk closer together, sparking a tender, late-in-life romance. The rest of the faculty provides a touch of unabashed comedy. Seok Gwan-soo (Kim Byung-choon), the principal, struggles to assert any authority and seems constantly overwhelmed by the vagaries of life. Hong Jung-pyo (Oh Man-seok), the vice principal in charge of academic affairs, seems more concerned with side income than his job, while maintaining a strangely pathetic side. Finally, Wi Jung-hwan (Jung Young-ki), a professor of Korean history, acts as a mediator and has already established himself as a key figure, often tasked with defusing tensions... or stealing the show.
