The first teaser for « Doctor X »has arrived, and" Kim Ji-won He immediately makes his presence felt. SBS has released a first teaser video focusing on Gye Soo-jung, a brilliant surgeon with an icy demeanor, who is set to shake up a hospital riddled with corruption.
Based on the famous Japanese series of the same name, the drama will follow this extraordinary doctor who refuses to rely on power struggles or hierarchy to prove her worth. Her main weapon will be much simpler: his surgical skill.
And right from the very first seconds, the tone is set.

The teaser opens with Gye Soo-jung, wearing a surgical mask, declaring confidently:
«I'm going to perform the surgery.»
Jang Hee-sook (Lee Jung-eun), who heads the medical recruitment agency she works for, then introduces her as «our agency’s best new hire: surgeon Gye Soo-jung.».
But it is above all Soo-jung’s almost defiant confidence that stands out in the footage. Facing a patient, she asks him bluntly: «Make up your mind. Do you want to die in a month or in 100 years?»
She then reminds us that the patient remains at the center of the situation: «You’re not the only human being here. The patient is a human being, too.»
This is one way of showing that, behind her cold and sometimes brusque demeanor, Soo-jung refuses to let the institution's interests take precedence over the patients' lives. Her confidence also impresses those who watch her perform surgeries.
Park Tae-kyung (Kim Woo-seok), a young intern who watches her at work, finally blurts out: «She’s almost like a god… or maybe a monster.» Then comes another line that perfectly captures the character’s aura: «As long as he’s alive, we have to save him.»
The video ends with an equally bold statement from Soo-jung: «I don’t fail.»

The teaser doesn't just highlight Gye Soo-jung's operations. It also briefly shows Boo Seung-kwon (Son Hyun-joo), director of Guseo University Hospital, as well as Jang Hee-sook, whose expression suggests that she is already closely observing the power struggles surrounding Soo-jung.
