The countdown is almost over. In 2 days, «The Remarried Empress» (« The Empress Who Remarried » (in French) is finally coming to Disney+, with four episodes all at once. To keep fans waiting, the series is unveiling new images from its first episodes. A glimpse of the storm that will rock the court, pitting an emperor who lets himself be seduced against a prince willing to do anything for the empress.

A Marriage on the Brink of Collapse
In one of the images, Sovieshu (Ju Ji-hoon) is holding Navier's hand (Shin Min-ah)… but his gaze is fixed entirely on Rashta (Lee Se-young). A scene that encapsulates the beginning of the rift in the imperial couple's relationship.

Other photos, however, show Sovieshu and Navier as a loving, close-knit couple. This contrast makes their downfall all the more cruel and raises the central question of the series: How did the perfect empress come to ask to remarry?

Heinrey and the Blue Rose
Facing the emperor who betrayed his wife, Prince Heinrey (Lee Jong-suk) makes a striking entrance. A picture shows him kneeling before Navier, holding a magnificent blue rose.

A romantic gesture that stands in stark contrast to Sovieshu’s attitude and highlights the devotion of the prince of the Western Empire. Will Navier be able to take this outstretched hand and change her destiny?
Alongside the four heroes, a whole cast of characters will bring the imperial court to life: Eliza, the faithful lady-in-waiting; Heinrey's talkative cousin, McKenna, played by Choi Dae-hoon, and Rashta’s former master, who holds her best-kept secret.
