The cast of the live-action adaptation of « Solo Leveling »is really taking shape. Following the confirmation of Byeon Woo-seok in the lead role of Sung Jin-woo, Netflix has now confirmed the actors who will join the cast in this world filled with Hunters and monsters—actors whose casting had already been the subject of rumors.
Han So-hee, Kang You-seok and Sung Joon officially join the cast, while Lee Sung-min and Rain will make special appearances. Several major characters from the original work have now been cast.
Adapted from a web novel that became a webtoon and then an animated series, «Solo Leveling» follows Sung Jin-woo, an E-rank Hunter considered to be at the lowest level. After narrowly escaping death, however, he gains extraordinary abilities that allow him to gradually become more powerful.

Han So-hee Becomes Korea's Only Female S-Rank Hunter
Among the most anticipated announcements is that of Han So-hee as Cha Hae-in.
Her character is the ninth Korean Hunter to reach S-rank and the only woman in the country to hold that rank. As a fighter who primarily uses a long sword, she will be among the most powerful Hunters in history.
Kang You-seok, for his part, will play the role of Yoo Jin-ho, the second son of the family that heads the Yoojin Group conglomerate. He meets Sung Jin-woo while they are exploring dungeons together.
Jin-ho eventually began to look up to and support Jin-woo as if he were his own older brother, establishing a relationship that proved particularly important in his journey.
Sung Joon will play Woo Jin-chul, an A-rank Hunter and chief inspector of the Korean Hunters Association’s surveillance team. Tasked with monitoring the Hunters« activities, he will be the first to suspect that Sung Jin-woo may have experienced a »reawakening” after noticing his unusual development.
Rain will be able to transform into a magical creature
Two more names are joining the series in the form of special appearances.
Lee Sung-min will play Go Gun-hee, a former top-tier Hunter who has become president of the Korean Hunters Association. The organization oversees Hunters and their guilds across the country, and Gun-hee has the authority to mobilize them in case of an emergency.
Finally, Rain will take on the role of Baek Yoon-ho, the leader of the White Tiger Guild, which ranks second among Korea's top five Hunter guilds.
He, too, is an S-rank Hunter with a spectacular special ability: he can transform into a magical creature. The cast now includes Byeon Woo-seok, Han So-hee, Kang You-seok, and Sung Joon, who will tackle the story’s main plot points, with Lee Sung-min and Rain joining the cast.

Now we’ll have to wait and see how Netflix brings the Gates, the dungeons, and—above all—Sung Jin-woo’s spectacular rise to power to the screen. No release date is mentioned in this new announcement (And it's taking a while—we've been talking about it for so long! We're hoping for 2027.).
