MBC TV (Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation) is one of South Korea's leading general-interest networks, alongside KBS and SBS. It launched on television in 1969, it has played a major role for several decades in the production and distribution of K-dramas.

Its catalog includes many series that have become iconic, including The Empress Ki, Kill Me, Heal Me, She Was Pretty, The Gu Family Book, Two Weeks, Angry Mom or even The Scholar Who Walks the Night. MBC covers a wide variety of genres: romance, comedy, historical, thriller, fantasy, medical, and legal.

The network remains very active in recent dramas. In 2025, its catalog includes, among other things, Moon River, To the Moon, Mary Kills People and First Man. In 2026, MBC continues with Perfect Crown, In Your Radiant Season, The Judge Returns, Fifties Professionals, A Bona Fide Killer, Family Register, My Ground and The Perfect Lie. Mind Doctor, a fantasy, medical, and psychological drama, is set to premiere on 2027.

Internationally, MBC relies on various platforms depending on the production and the region. Several recent dramas are associated with Viki, such as Moon River, The Judge Returns or A Bona Fide Killer, while Disney+ includes, among other things, Perfect Crown and In Your Radiant Season.

MBC therefore remains a a veteran but still very active K-drama actor, combining national television broadcasts with international distribution through major streaming platforms.
