Korean TV Series Prime Video

Prime Video is Amazon's video-on-demand platform, launched in 2006 and available in France since 2016. It functions both as a subscription-based streaming service and as a platform for purchasing or renting content.

For the K-dramas, Prime Video primarily serves as a international broadcaster. Amazon can purchase the streaming rights to series produced or originally aired by South Korean networks and platforms. The model is therefore similar to Netflix’s: a drama available on Prime Video is not necessarily an Amazon production. In particular, Prime Video acquires international premiere streaming rights to expand its catalog.

In France, its selection of K-dramas includes series from a wide variety of Korean broadcasters: tvN with Marry My Husband, My Mister, Lovely Runner or Tale of the Nine Tailed ; TVING with Death's Game or Spice Up Our Love ; SBS with Payback and The Killing Vote ; JTBC with Good Boy ; but also dramas based on ENA, KBS2, MBC, or Coupang Play.

In 2026, the platform is expanding its presence as a streaming service for K-dramas, offering titles such as «See You at Work Tomorrow,» «A Love Other Than Yours,» and «Sacred Jewel.».

Prime Video also offers a few K-dramas distributed directly under its own brand, such as My Man Is Cupid. The platform has therefore become a a major gateway to K-dramas in France, by acquiring the international rights to productions from numerous Korean broadcasters.
