A mixed reception for « Final Table ». The new culinary drama from JTBCsupported by Ahn Hyo-seop and Hong Hwa-yeon, debuted with a national viewership rating of 1.9 %, according to Nielsen Korea. It was a modest start, but Episode 2, which aired this Sunday, could very well get things back on track with a chase scene leading all the way to the airport.
A very busy Saturday night
This strong start can be attributed in part to fierce competition. That same evening, « Doctor X »reached 19.5 %, its best score, while « 100 Days of Deception »remained the most-watched cable program of the day with a 6.5 % rating.".
Under these circumstances, it's hard to make a name for oneself. But JTBC dramas have often gained momentum as the weeks go by, and this series still has what it takes to win viewers over.

A Tense First Episode
The first episode laid the groundwork for the explosive encounter between the two heroes. About to leave for the United States, Kang Han (Ahn Hyo-seop), a military engineer, wanted to visit Famiglia one last time—the restaurant that reminds him of his father.
But the disappointment was just as great as his memories: the dishes were nothing like the ones he had known. Furious, he stormed into the kitchen to say so loud and clear… and ran into Choi Song-yi (Hong Hwa-yeon), the daughter of the late owner.
Episode 2: The Race to the Airport
In Episode 2, Choi Song-yi makes a drastic decision. To save Famiglia, she sees only one solution: to compete in «The Table: K-Chef 2026,» the contest to determine the best Korean chef. And to have a chance at winning, she needs Kang Han.
So she rushes to the airport to stop him from leaving. With a desperate look in her eyes, she begs him to help her revive the restaurant. Taken aback by her unexpected arrival and the boldness of her request, Kang Han finds himself facing her across a table in an electric atmosphere. Will he stay in Korea to help her, or will he fly to the United States as planned?
Episode 2 of «Final Table» will air this Sunday, October 25, at 10:30 p.m. (Korean time)—which is 2:30 p.m. in France—on JTBC and will be available internationally on Prime Video.
