A bomb, a banquet, and a man in the wrong place at the wrong time. Episode 9 of « 100 Days of Deception »100 Days as a Spy« ended on a nail-biting cliffhanger: Kim Tae-woong was right next to the explosive at that fateful moment. In episode 10, which aired this Sunday, Lee Ga-kyeong boards a train, injured and covered in soot. But what happened to Tae-woong?
Warning: Spoilers for Episode 9.

A Terrorist Attack That Goes Wrong
The independence group Gugukdan had a plan: to plant a bomb at the banquet held to mark the inauguration of the Japanese General Government’s pneumatic mail system.
But nothing went as planned. Faced with the unexpected, Lee Ga-kyeong (Kim Yoo-jung) showed remarkable composure by moving the explosive hidden in the floral arrangements and concealing it inside a cake. That is, until, in the final seconds of the episode, Kim Tae-woong (Park Jin-young) approaches the bomb in turn…
Ga-kyeong is leaving
The new images show Ga-kyeong at the Gyeongseong train station—the former name of Seoul—boarding a train. She has a small cut on her forehead and soot stains on her clothes. With her eyes fixed on a document she’s holding, her face betrays a mix of conflicting emotions.

Will she finally leave town and fulfill the dream she's been chasing from the very beginning: moving to the United States? And what is in this document that has her so upset?
So-ran and Philip Are in Danger
Other images show the chaos that follows the explosion. Yoo So-ran (Kim Hyun-joo), a knife in her hand, glares at someone in the hallway of a building.

Another photo shows her hiding behind a pillar with Yoo Philip (Lee Moo-saeng). He has his arm around her shoulder and is covering her mouth with his hand, as if to keep her from being spotted. Danger is everywhere.

Shinichi Sato, more menacing than ever
Finally, one last image sends a chill down your spine. Sato Shinichi (Jin Sun-kyu), Tae-woong's adoptive father and the mastermind behind the Gyeamni massacre, is holding a gun and glaring at someone with disheveled hair and a bloodstained shirt.

The production team warns: this attack marks not so much an ending as a new beginning. Made even more wary by the incident, Sato Shinichi is about to ramp up the tension another notch. And the team invites viewers to closely follow the fate of Tae-woong, who arrived on the scene just before the explosion.
