Lee Yi-kyung, born on January 8, 1989, in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, is a South Korean actor. He began his career in 2011 and gained attention the following year for his role as a rebellious student in School 2013.
He then went on to play a series of roles on television, notably in Nine: Nine Times Time Travel, My Love from the Star, Trot Lovers and Because It's the First Time. In 2016, he appeared in the international hit Descendants of the Sun, in which he plays Kang Min-jae, and then plays Yo-gwang in the historical fantasy drama Mirror of the Witch.
His popularity skyrocketed in 2018 when he played Lee Joon-ki, an eccentric and unlucky actor, in the comedy Welcome to Waikiki. He reprises this role in Welcome to Waikiki 2 in 2019. During the same period, he branched out into more serious genres with Partners for Justice and Children of Nobody.
In 2020, he played one of the leading roles in Secret Royal Inspector, in which he plays Park Chun-sam. After several appearances in series such as Monthly Magazine Home, Crisis X and My Dearest, Part 2, it enjoyed another major success in 2024 thanks to Marry My Husband. His portrayal of Park Min-hwan, the heroine’s unfaithful and manipulative husband, allows him to show a much darker side than in his usual comedic roles.
That same year, he also played the lead role of Han Woo-jin in Face Me and Bong Cheol-hee in Marry You. In 2025, he appears in Mary Kills People and The Confidence Man KR, before joining Dream Stage in 2026 as Choi Gi-young. He has also been announced as the lead in Out of the Blue.
In film, he has appeared in, among others, The Pirates, Confidential Assignment, Baby Beside Me and Hitman: Agent Jun.
