Born on November 4, 1977, in Seoul, So Ji-sub is one of the most iconic actors of his generation. With his intense gaze, understated acting style, and instantly recognizable presence, he has established himself as a leading figure in K-dramas, capable of portraying tragic heroes, romantic leads, and action heroes alike.
So Ji-sub describes himself as having been an introverted and anxious child. Starting at the age of ten, he devoted himself seriously to swimming and competed for several years, winning a medal at the Korean National Games, among other achievements. However, his career took a completely different turn when he began modeling for a jeans brand in 1995.
