A romance starring Kim So-hyun and Choo Young-woo, a psychological thriller featuring Seo Hyun-jin and Yoo Yeon-seok, a cooking competition led by Ahn Hyo-seop, and a romantic comedy starring Nam Ji-hyun and Kim Jae-young: there’s something for everyone. With just a few days to go before the month’s first releases, here are the new posters to check out and what they reveal about these four highly anticipated K-dramas coming in October.
«Between Steps»: Choo Young-woo, Alone in His Laboratory
Expected to arrive on October 5 on Disney+, « Between Steps »will bring together" Choo Young-woo and Kim So-hyun in a romance directed by the late Ahn Pan-seok.
The new poster focuses solely on Park Min-jae (Choo Young-woo), a former swimmer who lost his right leg due to an illness. Now a doctoral student in robotics, he is shown sitting on the floor in his lab, his gaze troubled by something off-screen. This loneliness contrasts with his usually calm demeanor and leaves the viewer wondering what has just happened. His encounter with Im Yoo-jin (Kim So-hyun), a student who is also searching for a new direction in her life, will gradually turn his daily routine upside down.
«Make Me Tingle»: Nam Ji-hyun and Kim Jae-young Take Center Stage on the First Poster
The first poster for « Make Me Tingle »finally brings together" Nam Ji-hyun and Kim Jae-young, whose characters have very different views on love and intimacy.
Nam Ji-hyun plays Gong Yeon-su, a young woman raised in a particularly traditional environment who commits one of the first true acts of rebellion in her life by joining Dokgo Dal’s (Kim Jae-young) company, which specializes in adult products. The poster plays directly on this appeal with the line: «What’s tingling… my heart? My body?» A way to set the tone for this romance, which will pit Yeon-su against a world very different from the one in which she grew up.

«Final Table»: Ahn Hyo-seop Remains Unflappable Amid the Competition

" The Perfect Lie »will end the month on a much darker note on October 30 on MBC (no OTT service available at this time).
In their reunion scene following «Dr. Romantic,» Seo Hyun-jin and Yoo Yeon-seok stand face to face without really looking at each other: Kang Ji-sun and Min Joon-ho are shown facing opposite directions, each revealing a different emotion in their gaze. This choice is directly tied to the concept of the psychological thriller directed by Jo Young-min («You and Everything Else»), as the two characters offer completely contradictory accounts of the same memory. The posters thus pose the question that should underpin the entire plot: «One of them is lying.» It remains to be seen which one.
