The Story

Born in Korea under the name of Park Joo-hyung, Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joong-ki) was adopted as a child by an Italian family before joining the powerful Cassano mafia family. He went on to become a lawyer and council member Due to the mafia, he is forced to leave Italy after a conflict with the family’s new boss and returns to Seoul to retrieve a vast fortune in gold secretly hidden beneath the Geumga Plaza.

But the building is now coveted by the powerful and corrupt Babel Group. Vincenzo then joined forces with Hong Cha-young (Jeon Yeo-been), a brilliant, eccentric lawyer who is willing to use unconventional methods to win. Their main opponent turns out to be Jang Han-seok (Ok Taec-yeon), hiding behind the identity of the clumsy intern Jang Jun-woo, accompanied by the formidable lawyer Choi Myung-hee (Kim Yeo-jin) and the Woosang law firm.

Faced with a system in which traditional justice seems powerless, Vincenzo gradually begins to use the brutal and strategic methods he learned from the mafia to fight Babel. Amid revenge, corruption, court cases, dark humor, and a subtle romance between Vincenzo and Cha-young, the drama constantly blurs the line between hero and criminal.
